A crew conducting maintenance work on a roof resulted in a fire Sunday at the Dr Pepper plant in Irving, TX, officials said.

A crew was doing maintenance work on an ammonia line on the roof of the building in the 2300 block of Century Center Boulevard, near Spur 482, when the fire started, said Irving Assistant Fire Chief Rich Stewart.

Firefighters were called to the scene about 3:20 p.m. and quickly extinguished the fire. By 5:30 p.m., firefighters were searching for remaining hot pockets, Stewart said.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.

There were no injuries to workers, but there was one injury to a first responder, officials said. The first responder’s status is currently unknown.
