AI and facial recognition technology provider, CyberLink Corp., launched its biometric security solutions powered by FaceMe, the company’s facial recognition engine.
U Alerts combined with FaceMe enables automated notifications to be sent directly to mobile devices or PCs, and notify relevant people that a registered visitor or a person of interest is captured by a camera.
Powered by deep learning algorithms, FaceMe delivers high-precision, and real-time facial recognition critical to applications such as smart security, smart city, smart banking, and smart home.
It yields up to a 99.82 percent accuracy rate over Labeled Faces in the Wild (LFW) database. In the latest Face Recognition Vendor Test (FRVT) conducted by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), CyberLink ranked 12th among all participants in FRVT 1:1 (WILD 1E-4).
FaceMe offers cross-platform capabilities across Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS, for a variety of edge devices and different hardware configurations, such as security systems, retail store cameras, access control, and service robots.
Through face detection, recognition, and alerts, FaceMe technology brings security in a variety of areas such as door control, staff access tracking, people of interest’s identification, loss prevention, and behavioral analysis.
