A fire broke out at the JBS USA meat packaging plant in Green Bay, WI, officials said.
When firefighting crews arrived at the scene at 1330 Lime Kiln Rd. at 3 a.m. Saturday, heavy smoke and flames were coming from the plant which consists of several buildings.
Though the cause of the fire is under investigation, officials the blaze appears to have started in duct work in the plant’s rendering area.
Multiple units worked for three hours to contain the fire and search for hot spots.
There were no injuries and there was no estimated amount of damage available.
Plant personnel are working to get the plant operational.
