In a move to boost industrial cyber security capabilities, Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) and Palo Alto Networks inked a partnership deal.
Honeywell’s Industrial Cyber Security business is now offering the Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform to industrial customers.
The collaboration will give users another weapon to prevent cyber attacks against process control networks (PCN) and operational technology (OT) environments.
The joint solution offers process network traffic monitoring and advanced threat prevention across the automation environment.
It will combine Palo Alto Networks’ integrated security platform with Honeywell’s process control domain expertise.
This next-generation offering enhances Honeywell’s portfolio of cyber security solutions, including its Industrial Cyber Security Risk Manager platform, which proactively monitors and measures industrial cyber security risk.
“The collaboration with Palo Alto Networks expands our ability to provide proactive intrusion prevention resulting in more robust protection for our customers,” said Jeff Zindel, vice president and general manager, cyber security, HPS.
“Connecting vital infrastructure to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) comes with tremendous benefit, but also associated cyber risks. Our work with Honeywell addresses the cyber risk with next-generation security designed to meet the needs of industrial customers and provide them with threat detection and prevention capabilities previously unseen in the industry,” said Chad Kinzelberg, senior vice president of business and corporate development, Palo Alto Networks
