A catalytic tower explosion at a compressor station near Sonora, TX, injured four workers Friday.
Oil and gas company EnerVest confirmed two employees and two contractors sustained non-life-threatening injuries when a catalytic tower exploded at one of their compressor stations.
The four workers ended up rushed to a local hospital where they were treated and released.
The company has launched an investigation into the incident and said there was no off-site impact or threat to the community and all appropriate state agencies have been notified.
Compressor stations end up used in the transportation process of natural gas, which needs to be constantly pressurized every 40 to 100 miles.
