A student chemical safety boot camp will be starting up this summer to teach learners how companies manage process safety.
AIChE’s Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), in collaboration with AIChE Foundation’s “Doing a World of Good Campaign,” teamed with sponsoring companies to develop new curriculum for undergraduate chemical engineering students.
The goal of the Student Process Safety Bootcamp is to improve safety training of undergraduate chemical engineering students worldwide by introducing students to how leading companies across a variety of chemical process industry sectors manage process safety to prevent catastrophic accidents involving toxic, highly reactive, and flammable materials.
Boot Camps will be held at:
• University of Tennessee – Knoxville Student Process Safety Bootcamp
July 23-26 in Knoxville, TN
• Ohio State University Student Process Safety Bootcamp
August 25-26 in Columbus, OH
• Mississippi State University Student Process Safety Bootcamp
