Two people died and one person is missing following an ammonia gas compressor explosion at an ice factory in the northern Basque fishing port of Ondarroa, Spain.

The blast occurred Monday in the factory, said a Basque regional police spokesman.

The officer said the factory’s ammonia gas compressors blew up, but the cause of the blast was not immediately available.

The officer said the factory made ice for fish storage in the town.
