There was an early morning gas leak Thursday at a plant in Decatur, Alabama.
The Morgan County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) got a call at 4 a.m. Thursday for a hydrogen fluoride (HF) spill at Diakin America Inc. in Decatur.
Emergency crews are unsure what caused the spill or how much leaked. The plant did not evacuate.
One person did drive himself to the hospital only as a precautionary measure, EMA officials said.
Diakin manufactures and sells chemical products, according to the company website.
The company did say the leaked liquid contains 12 percent HF and sulfuric acid.
The area where the leak occurred is shut down until it gets repaired and inspected.
